Islamabad: Chairman of the Parliamentary Kashmir Committee, Rana Qasim Noon, along with senior political leader Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, addressed a press conference at the Press Information Department (PID) Islamabad, where they emphasized the importance of national unity in resolving the Kashmir issue.
Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong position on Kashmir, stating, “The entire nation is united on the Kashmir issue. Pakistan has consistently highlighted the plight of the Kashmiri people on all international forums.” He praised the continued support of friendly countries for Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir and emphasized that the resolution of the dispute must align with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
Highlighting the crucial role of the Parliamentary Kashmir Committee, Dr. Chaudhry emphasized its importance in advocating for the rights of the Kashmiri people. He also condemned India’s recent unilateral decision to revoke the special status of Jammu and Kashmir, calling it a violation of international norms and justice. “The special status of occupied Kashmir must be restored to ensure peace and justice,” he remarked.
Chairman Rana Qasim Noon reiterated the call for international intervention to help resolve the Kashmir issue, urging the global community to stand with the Kashmiri people in their legitimate struggle for self-determination.
