Tayyab Habib Khan – Okara: Shortly after assuming his role, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Umair paid a visit to DHQ City Hospital to evaluate the medical facilities available. He was accompanied by CEO Health Dr. Saifullah Warraich, MS DHQ City Hospital Dr. Sajjad Hussain Gilani, hospital management, doctors, and other medical staff.
During his comprehensive visit, DC Umair inspected several key areas, including the hospital’s slip counters, doctor’s evaluation rooms, procedure rooms, medical emergency, CT scan ward, emergency wards, pulmonology, OPD, medicine store, cold chain room, dialysis unit, radiology department, and pediatric nursery. He took the time to speak with patients in various wards and inquired about the quality of medical services they were receiving. Additionally, he reviewed the hospital’s sanitation conditions.
Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Umair expressed his dissatisfaction with the poor management observed in the medical ward and criticized the unavailability of certain medicines in several wards. He closely examined the medicine stock and records in the store. He emphasized that no compromise will be tolerated regarding the provision of quality healthcare to patients, stating that enhancing public well-being is a core goal of the Punjab government. DC Umair warned the DHQ Hospital administration to maintain high standards of patient care, or face strict consequences.
