United Nations, October 11, 2024: Pakistan has called for enhanced international cooperation to protect children from threats like armed conflict, child labor, and trafficking. During the UN General Assembly’s Third Committee session, Pakistan’s deputy representative, Ambassador Usman Iqbal Jadoon, stressed the importance of stronger legal frameworks against child abuse.

Referencing the “Pact for the Future,” adopted last month, Jadoon emphasized collaboration to strengthen child protection, promote education, and tackle climate change, highlighting children’s vulnerability. He urged global financial support to help developing nations invest in education and healthcare for children.
