The accountability court adjourned the hearing of the 190 million pound reference against PTI founder in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail till August 15.

The reference was heard by Judge Nasir Javed Rana of the Accountability Court.

NAB Prosecutor General Muzaffar Abbasi and Amjad Parvez appeared along with the team.

PTI founder and Bushra Bibi’s lawyers Barrister Salman Safdar, Usman Gul and Zaheer Abbas Chaudhry appeared in the court.
The court rejected the request of PTI founder and Bushra Bibi to produce the record of NAB board meeting of April 23, 2020.

It was contended in the petition that on April 23, 2020, the NAB Board had closed 190 million pounds at the Compliant Verification level.

PTI founders and Bushra Bibi filed a fresh petition related to the £190 million reference, which was dismissed by the court after hearing arguments from the parties.

The NAB officials argued that the reference has been filed on the basis of new evidence, the 2020 executive board meeting has nothing to do with the cross-examination of the statement of the investigator.
